Welcome to the website for the Yorkshire Area Group of the
N Gauge Society!

The Group was founded by the late John Cornish in February 1996, and originally met in the Church Hall in Lowther Street, York.  Just over 20 people attended that first meeting, and  membership has remained steady since then with between twenty and thirty members regularly attending the monthly meetings.

Our meetings commence at 9:30 a.m. and end around 4:00 p.m.

We have a monthly newsletter, "MagNnet". (available by post, e-mail or downloadable from the website)

We have attended a number of exhibitions, including the Warley Show at the NEC (twice) , the N Gauge Show at Leamington Spa, as well as regional and county exhibitions.

Meetings are held at the Community Centre, Heworth, which is situated to the east of York

The Group offers members the opportunity to run and test N Gauge locos and trains, whether members have a layout or not, The purpose of the group is to further the interest in N Gauge modelling, to share experiences and learn from each other.
